MIXTAPE3D

Its time again for the annual S23 mixtape show!

This year we are keeping it simple, going back to the tried and true tradition: straight up mix tapes. S23 realizes that some folks would like to get more creative with their contribution than simply making album art for their tape, therefore we ask each participant to simply make a play list and corresponding art. this guidelines are as follows:

- Artists will create a piece that is roughly 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 x 5/8 inches, the dimensions of a cassette tape case.
- The piece will be a mix tape, or inspired by a mix tape. Whether there is a tangible tape or not, a play list must be conceived.
- There are no restrictions or guidelines for materials.
- Pieces can be 2 or 3 dimensional (I guess 4th dimensional too if you consider the duration of the mix.. whoa.). A 2 dimensional piece need only to be mounted or framed in some fashion to retain the specified depth.
- Artists are only required to make one original piece, that means no worrying about multiples. However, individuals are encouraged to make multiples for sale or trade!

Submissions are due OCTOBER FIRST 2010! You can simply pass it off to your S23-affiliated buddy, or drop it off or mail it to our studio:
